About the project
About us
PalmaCathedral.es is an independent guide devoted to Palma Cathedral. This page explains who we are, where the data comes from and how the site pays its bills.
ⓘ Independent guide. Not the cathedral’s official website. What this site is (and isn't)
PalmaCathedral.es is an independent travel guide to the Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca — La Seu — and its surroundings in Palma. We are not the cathedral's official website and we have no affiliation with the Cathedral Chapter. The cathedral's own site is catedraldemallorca.org.
Why it exists
Anyone planning a visit to La Seu ends up hopping between websites to answer basic questions: how much it costs, what today's hours are, whether the terraces are worth it, which door to use. This site pulls prices, opening hours and practical advice into one place, in English and Spanish, and keeps them reviewed.
Where the data comes from
We work from two sources: the cathedral's official website (catedraldemallorca.org), against which we cross-check hours, rules and entrances, and the Tiqets API, which supplies online ticket prices, availability and ratings. When a figure appears in neither, we say so plainly and point you to the official source rather than guessing. Every page carries the date of its last fact review at the bottom.
How we make money
Through Tiqets affiliate links: when you book a ticket via our links, Tiqets pays us a commission. Your price does not change — it is exactly what you would pay going to Tiqets directly. That model keeps the guide free of intrusive ads and paywalls, and it doesn't bend what we write: when the best option is free (mass attendance, Balearic residents, children under 10), we say so on the free entry page.
